Belarus expands international cooperation at Hannover Messe
Scientific and educational institutions of Belarus have agreed on cooperation with companies of the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, China, Russia and Germany. The relevant agreements have been reached at Hannover Messe which is underway in Germany on 7-11 April, Deputy Director, head of the Belinterexpo department of foreign exhibitions under the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Vvedensky told BelTA.

BSUIR Open Programming Championship winners announced
First place was taken by the team from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology “Banana Motel”. Second were the Ababahalamaha team from the same university. The Belarusian State University team Abacaba finished in third. A special prize, the BSUIR Champion medal, was awarded to the BSUIR team “Bsuir_power.”

“An electronic textbook is not only meant to increase interactivity, it also offers a number of tools that allow students to test their knowledge right away. In fact, we are speaking about a testing environment that should be integrated in learning materials and should be used to check how students mastered the material and tell them what things they need to pay more attention to,” he said.

Belarus studies Singapore’s e-government expertise
This topic was on the agenda of the visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia and Singapore (on concurrent) Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky to Singapore. The Belarusian diplomat met with Deputy Director of Europe Directorate of the Foreign Ministry of Singapore Rozana Abdul Majid to discuss the exchange of visits on various levels and the development of the legal framework of the bilateral relations.

Belarus to install nine GPS, GLONASS reference stations in 2014
Plans have been made to install nine continuously operating reference stations (CORS) in Belarus in 2014 for the sake of the global satellite-powered positioning system, BelTA learned from Andrei Anashenkov, Chief Engineer of the Belarusian aerospace geodesy enterprise Belaerocosmogeodesy.
