Huawei’s Safe City solution for Minsk possible
The Chinese company Huawei does not rule out that it may implement the project Safe City in Minsk. The statement was made during the meeting of Deputy Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik and the top management of the company Bel Huawei Technologies which represents the company’s interests in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

Eight solar-powered petrol stations in Belarus by end-2014
The country’s biggest oil product retailer Belorusneft plans to double the number of filling stations running on solar power this year, BelTA learnt from the company’s press service.
Thus, the Belorusneft chain will comprise eight solar-powered forecourts with one in each oblast of the country.

Free Wi-Fi for reporters in designated press centers during 2014 IIHF World Championship
Wireless Internet access via Wi-Fi will be free for reporters, who are accredited for the ice hockey world championship in Minsk. Free Wi-Fi access will be available in press centers and designated areas (VIP) as well as in places of residence where Wi-Fi services are provided by Beltelecom. The decision was made at the government session held to discuss Internet access during the ice hockey world championship, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

Safari park to open in Dzerzhinsk District
The safari park will spread across 320 hectares. More than 300 deer, roes and other animals will settle in the park. Now interactive eco-routes and areas to watch animals in their natural habitat are being developed. Game viewing will also be available in the park. The park will open for tourists at the end of 2014.

New solar plant for Mogilev Oblast in 2016
The Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee and Interregional Energy Company GmbH (Germany) signed an investment agreement to construct a photovoltaic power plant for electric energy production in Kostyukovichi District, Mogilev Oblast, BelTA learnt from the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.
