Belarus’ electricity import down by 26.3% to 2.8bn kWh in 2015
"In 2015 Belarus imported 2.816 million kWh of electricity, including 2,815.2 million kWh from Russia, and 0.8 million kWh from Ukraine," Zhanna Zenkevich informed. Belarus imported energy "to diversify energy resources, proceeding from economic expediency," she explained.

In January-November 2015 Belarus purchased oil worth $5.296 million. This corresponds to 72.6% of the crude oil costs paid by Belarus in January-November 2014. One tonne of crude oil cost $254.7on average as against $356.9 in January-November 2014.
