Belarus to get $1.9bn from export duties on oil products in 2015
In 2015 Belarus’ budget will get about $1.9 billion in export customs duties on oil products, BelTA learned from Belarusian Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin at the expanded participation session of the Budget and Finance Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 8 December.

Belarus to stop importing electric power in 2018
The commissioning of the BelNPP will involve the use of the most efficient facilities of the energy system, with the lower specific consumption of electric power. Mikhail Malashenko noted that the specific electric power consumption of condensation stations in new units and existing units differs by about 30%. The prime cost of one KWh of energy generated by the Belarusian nuclear power plant will be considerably lower compared to the cost of energy generated today.

Belarus government, IAEA discuss nuclear safety practices
A high-level seminar for representatives of government agencies and organizations taking part in the implementation of the Belarusian nuclear energy program took place at premises of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry on 2 December under the aegis of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.

Belarus, Russia to sign three-year gas supply contract in early December
"We have reached an agreement in principle with the Russian side that the contract will be signed within a short period of time. It is planned that this will happen in the first 10 days of December,” said the deputy minister. Asked about the anticipated gas volumes and price for Belarus, Mikhail Mikhadyuk noted that the supplier has no objections as to the numbers.

Nuclear energy information center to officially open in Minsk in early 2015
The information center has been created upon the initiative of the Russian state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom and the Belarusian Education Ministry. The center is expected to introduce visitors to principles of operation of the Belarusian nuclear power plant and the design of the nuclear power plant’s safeguards. Models of the industrial site of the nuclear power plant and the reactor are available for examination. The information center has a multimedia movie theater that combines panoramic 3D projection, computer graphics and animation, stereo sound, interactive consoles and personal monitors for better information delivery.

Belorusneft, Russian Zarubezhneft to work together in Latin America
The Belarusian company Belorusneft and the Russian company Zarubezhneft have expressed their intention to participate in the implementation of joint oil industry projects in Latin America. Prospects of possible interaction between the two companies were discussed during a working visit of the Russian delegation led by OAO Zarubezhneft Director General Sergei Kudryashov to the industrial group Belorusneft, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.

Belorusneft completes first stage of major seismic survey project in Ecuador
The seismic survey of so-called block No. 31 was the idea. The step included the full range of studies ranging from field work to the digital processing of the data acquired from an area of 688km2. Results of the seismic survey have been handed over to the Ecuadorian state-run company Petroamazonas for interpretation. Yet at this stage there are reasons to believe that the data will be fundamental for determining promising areas for the consequent search for hydrocarbons.
