Gazprom Transgaz Belarus ready to increase transit of Russian gas
When asked if it is possible to boost the transit of Russian gas via Belarus taking into consideration the situation in Ukraine, Vladimir Mayorov said: “As you know, we cannot make decisions like that. Our company fulfills gas transit orders coming from Gazprom”. Thus, if Gazprom decides to increase the amount of gas transit via Belarus, Gazprom Transgaz Belarus will use its capacities to the maximum.

Makei: Belarus seeks maximally close cooperation with IAEA
“During the meeting with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano the sides praised a high level of cooperation between Belarus and the IAEA, identified priorities for further cooperation. Special attention was paid to the use of the service package of the Agency for the states that start building nuclear power plants for the first time,” the press service said. Vladimir Makei stressed the openness of Belarus and interest in maximally close cooperation with the IAEA.

Belarus-Poland energy cooperation enters new level
The two countries set up a working group on energy cooperation in 2008. The contacts, however, have been almost frozen in the recent four years.
According to Tomasz Tomczykiewicz, over the time a lot of issues have accumulated, which should be addressed in cooperation with the Belarusian counterparts. The Polish side has initiated the resuming of the activity of the working group. The parties were happy with the results of the meeting that was attended by both government bodies and business entities.

Belarusian underground gas storage facilities in for expansion
There are plans to increase the capacity of underground gas storage facilities in Belarus, BelTA learned from Russian Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky during the expert and media forum held in Moscow on 20 November to highlight the 15th anniversary of the foundation of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

Gazprom to supply more natural gas to Belarus in Q4 2014
OAO Gazprom will supply over 6 billion m3 of natural gas to Belarus in Q4 2014 or roughly 46% up from Q3 2014, the public relations service of OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus told BelTA.

Belarus implements national nuclear program in close cooperation with IAEA
"Belarus has been implementing its nuclear power program in close cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency who has vast decades-long experience in nuclear power development," said Lilya Dulinets. “Undoubtedly, Belarus enjoys the support of the IAEA in all areas of its national nuclear power program,” she noted. Belarus eager to sign 2015-2017 gas import contract with Russia by 30 November
“We intend to sign the contract by 30 November. There are no restrictions on volumes: we will get as much as we need. I believe the next year’s price will be lower than this year,” said the First Vice Prime Minister. He specified that at present the price for 1,000m3 of natural gas is $168. Vladimir Semashko added that the price for natural gas is influenced by the falling exchange rate of the Russian ruble and oil prices.

Belarus, Tatarstan to intensify cooperation in petrochemical industry
Belneftekhim Concern hosted talks on the state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation in the petrochemical industry. The press service pointed to the long-standing ties between Belarusian and Tatarstan companies that provide each other with chemical raw materials. “The participants of the talks voiced mutual interest in deepening cooperation between the petrochemical complexes of Belarus and Tatarstan,” the press service said. A corresponding protocol was signed by Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Concern Vitaly Pavlov and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Damir Safiullin, the co-chairmen of the Belarus-Tatarstan working group to promote joint supplies of oil, gas and chemical products.
