Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo, Gazprom Transgaz Belarus sign cooperation roadmap
“The project aims to develop the infrastructure for the production and sale of compressed and liquefied natural gas, comprehensive development of the gas motor fuel market in Belarus, and the establishment of international corridors for transport using natural gas as motor fuel,” according to the press service.

Belarus reduces oil export duties 1 December
The export duty on crude oil went down from $316.7 to $277.5 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline is now $249.7 per tonne as a against $285 per tonne before. The export duty on light and medium distillates is $183.1 ($209). The same duty is applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricants, waste oils, petrolatum and paraffin, petroleum coke (except for calcinated petroleum coke) and oil bitumen.

Belarus eager to get $1.5bn from oil duties every year till 2025
“The corresponding formula and coefficients are available. The lower the market price for oil is, the lower the rate of export customs duties is. If prices drop considerably, the sum of export duties, which are to be transferred to Belarus’ budget, will drop, too,” explained Dmitry Kiyko.

EDB to lend $10m to Alfa-Bank (Belarus) to finance energy projects
The loan will be used to promote renewable energy sources (solar energy, wind power and hydropower engineering), to reduce the energy intensity of production (the upgrade of heating systems and manufacturing facilities, heat insulation of buildings, energy consumption monitoring), and to enhance the efficiency of using energy sources (renewal of the vehicle pool, purchase of energy-efficient equipment, introduction of energy consumption control systems).

Belarusian Railways has good reserves for boosting oil transportation
According to experts, the railway transportation of oil and oil products will become much more popular due to Russia’s tax maneuver in the oil industry. Vladimir Mikhailyuk noted that Belarusian railways have a rather high throughput capacity; the company has enough oil cars. In case Belarusian Railways needs more oil cars, the company can ask Russian partners for help. Railway administrations of the two countries have already concluded relevant agreements.

FM: Cooperation with IAEA has been long-lasting, fruitful
“In general, we can note with satisfaction that we have been fruitfully cooperating with the IAEA for a long time,” the spokesman said. He noted that a delegation of the Regulatory Cooperation Forum headed by IAEA Deputy Director General Denis Flory will visit Belarus on 2-3 December. “The main aim of the visit will be the discussion of the modern international experience in nuclear safety and security and the promotion of the nuclear safety culture,” Dmitry Mironchik explained.

Work on Belarus-Russia gas contracts for 2015-2017 nearing completion
“Vladimir Semashko and Alexey Miller discussed in detail the supplies of gas to Belarus and gas transit via the territory of the country in 2015-2017. The parties noted that the work on the new contracts has almost been finished,” the Gazprom press service informed.

Belarus, Turkey discuss cooperation in oil, gas processing
Piotr Prokopovich remarked that the Belarusian side is ready to cooperate with Turkish businessmen in various industries, namely the manufacturing sector, production of food and consumer goods, the high-tech sector. “Gas and oil flows go through our country. Together with our Russian colleagues we can turn them into the manufacture of high-tech chemical products which are currently imported in huge amounts to the Customs Union from other countries,” the vice premier stressed.

Belarusian Oil Company eager to sell as much oil products to Ukraine in 2015
“We expect that the delivery of oil products in 2015 will be as large as this year, however, the volume may be decreased or increased,” said the head of the company. He remarked that the situation will not result in an excessive stock in storage of Belarusian oil refineries because Belarusian Oil Company is ready to promptly sell oil products to several markets at once.
