Belarusian space program to develop remote sensing technologies
The Belarusian space program designed to run in 2013-2017 will contribute to the development of technologies for the remote sensing of the Earth, BelTA learned from Oleg Semenov, Deputy Chief Designer of the Belarusian space system for the remote sensing of the Earth, Chief Engineer of the enterprise Geoinformation Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Agreement on authorized fund of Belarus-China Industrial Park Development Company signed
Belarus and China signed an agreement on increasing the authorized fund of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Development Company. The document was inked in Beijing on 21 October following the 14th meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese commission for trade and economic cooperation, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in China.

A new Union State program on supercomputers under the tentative name SKIF Nedra may be launched in 2014, BelTA learned from Sergei Abramov, Director of the Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at the session of the Commission for Economic Policy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on 21 October.

Development program for Belarus’ Academy of Sciences by 1 November
The program to guide the development of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) should be ready by 1 November. The statement was made by Head of the Belarus President Administration Andrei Kobyakov at the session of the NASB Presidium on 15 October. The session was dedicated to the appointment of Vladimir Gusakov as Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
