Russia likely to supply less oil to Belarus than expected
In 2013 Russia will export less oil to Belarus than planned, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said at the plenary meeting of the 18th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Congress, BelTA learned.

Deterioration of Belarusian power grid down to 40% in 2013
The deterioration of the key assets of the Belarusian power engineering industry will be reduced to 40% in 2013. First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko attributed the result to the successful implementation of the government program for developing the Belarusian energy industry. The statement was made at the opening of the 18th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum on 15 August. The forum is taking place in Minsk on 15-18 October, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian energy and ecology forum kicks off in Minsk
The 18th edition of the international exhibition “Energy. Environment. Energy Saving. Electro” (EnergyExpo’ 2013) will run on 15-18 October. The expo, held since 1995, arouses big interest among the world’s leading producers of equipment, technology and materials for energy, ecology, energy saving and electrical goods and makes one of the biggest expos in the CIS and Baltic states in the field. In 2013 the expo will display products of more than 350 companies and organizations from 18 countries.

€4m worth of equipment for Belarus under EU energy efficiency project

Komarov: Rosatom leads the world’s NPP construction market

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft and the British company Toros will set up a joint venture to prospect and possibly extract shale oil and shale gas in the Pripyat oil-and-gas bearing basin, Belorusneft’s press service told BelTA.

Belarus concerned with CTBT non-commencement
Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei expressed a grave concern that the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) has not come into force yet. The Belarusian Foreign Minister made this statement at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
