Belarusian, Chilean specialists to search for oil in Ecuador
This was the first Belarus-hosted meeting of representatives of the companies that signed an agreement in July 2013 to conduct joint geological exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources in the south-west of Ecuador. As was informed earlier, this project involves state-run oil companies Petroamazonas EP (Ecuador), Belorusneft and ENAP SIPEC (Chile).

Nuclear power plant Kudankulam important for India’s energy security

Belarus, Finland discuss joint energy projects

Nuclear station construction fateful for Ostrovets District
The construction of the nuclear power plant in Ostrovets District is already having a positive effect on the development of the district. The effect will continue into the future. The statement was made by Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk during Belarusian-Lithuanian public debates held in the Belarusian town of Ostrovets on 17 August to discuss the report on the environmental impact of the future Belarusian nuclear power plant, BelTA has learned.

Belarus’ NPP is primarily designed for domestic economy

Recharging for electric cars in Minsk by year end
“A tender is in progress to buy special equipment for charging electric vehicles. Installing the equipment at three existing refueling stations of Belorusneft’s proprietary chain in Minsk and Gomel is the idea,” explained the press service. “The move is expected to encourage Belarusians to switch to using environmentally friendly transport en masse”.

Belarus government grants guarantees for foreign loan to build two power substations
In line with Council of Ministers resolution No. 707 of 12 August 2013 the guarantees have been granted to the German bank AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH for the sake of repaying the loan to be given to Belarusbank for the consequent financing of two investment projects by the Minsk city electrical company Minskenergo.
