About $450m for Belarusian nuclear station construction in 2014
Plans have been made to spend about $450 million on implementing the investment project to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant, BelTA learned from Belarusian Energy Minister Vladimir Potupchik on 14 February.

Great opportunities for Belarusian construction companies in nuclear power plant project
Belarusian construction workers, installation and maintenance fitters are capable of doing 85% of all the operations involved in building the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The statement was made by First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko at the expanded participation session of the Belarusian Energy Ministry board on 14 February, BelTA has learned.

Construction works worth RUB8bn planned on Belarus NPP construction in 2014
“Building and assembly works are estimated at RUB8 billion in 2014. It is twice as much as was performed in 2013,” Mikhail Filimonov said. Works worth nearly 80% of the sum will be performed by Belarusian companies, the rest will be implemented by Russians.

Belarus, Russia settle technicalities on Vnesheconombank’s loan for BelNPP
Belarus and Russia have discussed major technical details of the loan agreement between Vnesheconombank and Belarus. The agreement provides that Vnesheconombank will grant Belarus up to $500 million to finance advance payments on the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, BelTA learnt from the press service of Bank BelVEB.

Belarus eager to sign agreement on $500m loan for nuclear station in January-February
Belarus intends to sign the agreement on a $500 million loan for the Belarusian nuclear power plant by late January or early February 2014. The information was released by Belarusian First Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin at the online conference hosted by the BelTA website on 26 December.

Volgodonsk enterprise to supply eight steam generators for Belarusian nuclear plant
“The Volgodonsk-based enterprise will produce steam generators, collectors, supporting structures, kits of spare parts, and other products. The equipment for unit No.1 of the nuclear power plant in Ostrovets will be shipped to the construction site in 2016, and for unit No.2 - in 2017,” said AEM Technologies Director General Yevgeny Pakermanov. He specified that steam generators are first-class safety pieces of equipment.

Lithuania invited to verify sampling results in Belarusian nuclear station environmental monitoring
Belarusian ecologists suggest that Lithuanian colleagues should take samples in areas of Belarus, which are close to the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction site, and then analyze the samples in Lithuania.
