Belarus, Turkey to cooperate in peaceful use of nuclear energy
“The project envisages that the sides will develop scientific, technical and economic cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy taking into account their national nuclear energy development programs in compliance with their legislations and international obligations,” she said. The parties will cooperate in various areas, including in the choice of sites, planning, construction, operation, modernization, testing and technical maintenance of nuclear power plants and research reactors. They will also cooperate in the application of radiation technologies and construction of corresponding facilities, exploration of uranium deposits, training of specialists in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Belarusian-Russian project for better difficult oil recovery

Belarus, Russia to exchange information about nuclear safety, radioactive waste
Belarus and Russia will exchange information about nuclear safety, radioactive waste and transportation of radioactive substances, both routinely and in the event of a risk of radioactive emissions. This is envisaged by the Belarus-Russia intergovernmental agreement on notification about nuclear accidents and exchange of information about nuclear and radiation safety, BelTA learnt from the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus (Gosatomnadzor). The agreement has been approved by the Council of Ministers’ resolution.

Belarusian nuclear station specialists study Russian construction, installation oversight practices
A delegation of the Belarusian nuclear power plant toured the turbine house, the main control room, and the observation platform of the power-generating units. Russian specialists shared all the necessary technical information, including information about the construction of power-generating units for nuclear power plants, with Belarusian specialists.

Tests before physical start-up of 3rd power-generating unit of Rostov NPP

Over €110m needed to upgrade and build six electric substations in Minsk
"Minsk is planning to implement six projects, including the construction of the substation Staroborisovskaya, which are estimated at a total of €115-117 million,” said Yelena Klimovich. The Slovenian company RIKO is carrying out these projects on a turnkey basis. "This will be the integrated delivery of the substations fitted with the European equipment," she explained.

Draft concept for Eurasian Economic Union electricity market ready
