Belarus-Russia nuclear industry cooperation progressing well
“An open dialogue with the general public, the provision of transparent and open information about nuclear power plants and peaceful uses of nuclear energy on the whole represent an important part of the development of nuclear energy infrastructure. It is the goal that will be achieved by the creation of the nuclear energy information center in Belarus,” said Sergei Kiriyenko.

Information center on nuclear power to be set up in Minsk in 2014
An information center on nuclear power will be set up in Belarus. The relevant memorandum was signed by Education Minister of Belarus Sergei Maskevich and Rosatom Director General Sergei Kiriyenko at the 6th international forum Atomexpo 2014 in Moscow on 9 June, BelTA has learned.

Belorusneft to go for another seismic survey project in Ecuador
The company has signed the contract to carry out a 3D seismic exploration on an area of 2,000km2 in Ecuador’s east in 2015. The technical and geological analysis of the area is now in progress. In order to comprehend the scale of the project, one has to remember that every year only about 170km2 of lands is surveyed in Belarus in the course of finding new oil fields.

Amendments to Belarusian-Russian agreement on oil, oil products okayed
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has approved the text of the protocol that amends the Belarusian-Russian agreement on measures to regulate trade and economic cooperation in the export of oil and oil products of 12 January 2007. The relevant executive order was published on 6 June, BelTA has learned.

Belarus to transfer some $2bn in oil export duties to Russia in 2015
Belarus may transfer about $2 billion in customs duties on exported oil products to the Russian budget in 2015, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Finance Minister Dmitry Kiyko in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 5 June.

Belarus raises oil export duties
The export duty on crude oil went up from $376.1 to $385 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline rose from $338.4 to $346.5 per tonne. The export duty on light and medium distillates increased from $248.2 to $254.1 per tonne. The same duty will be applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricants, waste oils, petrolatum and paraffin, petroleum coke (except for calcinated petroleum coke) and oil bitumen.

Belarus to keep $1.5bn in export duties on oil products in 2015
$125 million in export duties on oil products will stay in the Belarusian budget every month in 2015, member of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Rumas told reporters in Minsk on 30 May, BelTA has learnt.
