Belarus, Kazakhstan discuss industrial, space cooperation
Belarus and Kazakhstan discussed prospects in industrial and space cooperation among other issues considered at the 11th meeting of the intergovernmental Belarus-Kazakhstan commission on trade and economic cooperation. The meeting was held in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan on 17 September, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry.

Information cooperation network to link health agencies of Braslav District and Latvia
The budget of the project for the Belarusian participant is €245,000. Of them €221,000 are the EU funds. As for today a big part of events under the project has been implemented. There has been purchased necessary equipment, furniture. Working places have been fitted with automated programs. The hospital has received a local computer network. The final stage will include the improvement of the territory of the hospital and creation of the barrier-free environment.

Belarus' vision of new climate agreement during New York summit
Organized upon the initiative of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the world climate summit is supposed to draw attention of heads of state of the entire world, of business communities, financial institutions, the production sector and the international community as a whole to the problem of climate change and the new climate agreement, which is supposed to replace the Kyoto Protocol. The new climate agreement is supposed to be ready to be signed in Paris in late 2015, said Iya Malkina.

Smart City might emerge in Belarus
Modern technologies allow constructing a “smart” city where special devices collect and analyze information about the condition of roads, traffic, buildings, energy needs and water consumption. Dmitry Shedko noted that this technology helps save economic resources and makes people's lives safer and more comfortable.

R&D efforts in Belarus in 2016-2020 to focus on nanoindustry, new materials
Nanoindustry and new materials will be some of the priority avenues for R&D efforts in Belarus in 2016-2020. The statement was made by Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin at the opening ceremony of the 9th international science and technology conference “Modern methods and technologies to create and process materials,” BelTA has learned.

Belarus, China mulling over joint educational center
The Dalian University of Technology partners with the Confucius Institute at the Belarusian State University. The universities have been exchanging students, cooperating in research activities, conducting joint events in the popularization of the Chinese culture in Belarus and the Belarusian culture in China.

Beltelecom increases domestic data network throughput to 1.2Tbps
The source noted that the network’s stability is secured by 100% redundancy of the equipment and three separate cables used to deliver traffic to each oblast capital. The increase in the throughput capacity will create prerequisites for expanding the choice of point-to-point communication services for different types of traffic and will secure support for various service and quality classes in compliance with recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union. The equipment supports IPv6 packet routing and data transfer speeds as high as 100Gbps per interface.
