Russian venture company ready to evaluate, finance Belarusian innovative projects
The relevant possibility was discussed in Moscow at the meeting of the Belarusian delegation led by State Science and Technology Committee Chairman Alexander Shumilin with RVC Director General Igor Agamirzyan. According to the Acting Director of the Belarusian Innovative Foundation, the Russian Venture Company was interested in taking part in the Belarusian national contest of innovative projects. Representatives of the company stated they are ready to invest in the projects they may become interested in, explained Anatoly Grishanovich.

BelAZ’s first 450-tonne truck now commissioned
The ceremony to put to use the first rock hauler BelAZ 75710 took place in the open pit Chernigovets of the holding company Siberian Business Union in Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast. The event was timed to Miner’s Day. Taking part in the ceremony were Kemerovo Oblast Governor Aman Tuleyev, a BelAZ delegation led by Director General Piotr Parkhomchik, heads of mining companies located in the Kuznetsk Basin, BelTA has been told.

BelAZ invites Japanese companies to produce electric motors together
BelAZ-Management Company of BelAZ Holding Company invites Japanese manufacturers to set up a joint venture to produce electric motors with the capacity ranging from 400KW to 1,500KW, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee for Science and Technology that is collecting and analyzing cooperation proposals of Belarusian companies seeking closer ties with Japanese partners.

Belarus government approves draft concept on integrated service and settlement system
BISSS will unite various official information systems to provide the customer with electronic administrative, information and payment services based on single rules and instruments on the whole territory of Belarus. The main instruments of the system which secures cooperation of individual and corporate clients with state information systems and resources with be the Belarusian electronic card (BEC) and the united identification system.

Plans for school for innovative managers in Belarus unveiled
“Innovative managers are in short supply in Belarus. Therefore, I think that a so-called school for child prodigies, a school for innovative managers may be set up in Belarus in 2015. We will select 20-30 talented young people, who are knowledgeable in various areas in science and technology. We will offer them specialized training not only in Belarus. We will teach them how to build an innovative business, why having just an idea and its technical implementation is insufficient, it is important to organize everything properly,” explained the Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee.

Korean professor praises Belarus’ expertise in physics
A famous Korean scientist, Professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the Pusan National University, Director of the MEMS Technology Center (Korea) Kim Kyung Chun has praised pilot projects of Belarusian scientists and promised to tell his Korean counterparts about them. Professor Kim Kyung Chun made this statement during a visit to the Lykov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on 14 August, BelTA has learned.

MMZ, American Meridican plan to jointly design gas engines
Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ trademark) and the American company Meridican are planning to jointly design a gas engine, Director General of the Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant holding company Nikolai Lobach told reporters, BelTA has learned. On 13 August the chief executives of the two companies held talks with Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich.
